Short version: we collect the minimum we need to reply to you and do the work you've asked for, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who we are
Mapank ("we", "us") operates mapank.in and provides counselling and admission guidance to students preparing for JEE and NEET. You can reach us at mapank.care@gmail.com for anything in this policy, including requests to see or delete your data.
What we collect
- What you send us. Your name, email, and whatever you write in the contact form or in an email — including exam details you choose to share, such as scores, rank, category or state.
- What paid work requires. If you book a session, the details needed to deliver it and to issue a receipt.
- Basic website analytics, if enabled — aggregate counts of page visits, without profiles of individual visitors.
We do not ask for, and will never ask for, your login credentials for any examination or counselling portal.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, to deliver a session you've paid for, to keep the financial records the law requires, and to understand which pages are useful. That is the complete list.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone.
- We do not pass your details to colleges, universities, coaching institutes or admission consultants, whether or not they offer to pay for them.
- We do not run behavioural advertising or profiling aimed at children, and we do not build advertising profiles of students.
- We do not use your questions or your data to advertise to you as though it were editorial content.
If the student is under 18
Under India's data protection law anyone under 18 is a child, and most JEE and NEET aspirants are. For anything beyond simply reading this website, we ask that a parent or guardian gives consent and is involved in the conversation. If you believe we hold data about a child without that consent, write to us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while we're helping you and for a reasonable period after, in case you come back mid-season. Records connected to a payment are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Beyond that we delete rather than archive.
Who else can see it
Only the people at Mapank who need to, plus the service providers that make the site and our email work — hosting, email, and payment processing. They act on our instructions and cannot use your data for their own purposes. We do not share data with anyone else except where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent you previously gave. Email mapank.care@gmail.com and we will act on it. There is no charge and you don't need to explain why.
Security
We keep what we hold to a minimum, which is the most effective protection available to a small organisation. We use reputable providers and access is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise — if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will say so clearly rather than quietly.
