Counselling season is short, procedural and unforgiving. Here is exactly what we help with — and what we deliberately don't.
Before the exam
We are not a coaching institute and we don't teach syllabus. What we do publish, free, is the administrative half of the exam that coaching rarely covers properly: application windows, the documents you'll need, eligibility fine print, category certificate validity, and the deadlines that quietly disqualify people every year.
We also run group sessions during application windows — walking a room through the form field by field, while each student fills their own. Dates go on the calendar when the next window opens.
After the result

Reading your result honestly
What your rank actually means this year, against the reality of how many seats exist in the categories that apply to you. Not a motivational reading, and not a pessimistic one.
Building the choice list
Choice-filling is an ordering problem, and the order matters more than the list. We work through it using historical opening and closing ranks, round-by-round movement rather than just the final number, and your own constraints — money, distance, family, and what you actually want to do.
The decisions inside counselling
Freeze, float or slide. Whether to accept a seat in an early round or hold out. What happens if you withdraw. What a seat-leaving penalty costs. When CSAB special rounds are worth entering and when they aren't. For NEET, how the all-India quota rounds interact with your state's counselling — the mistake here is common and expensive.
Reading the real cost of a college
Tuition is the number they advertise. The number that matters includes hostel, mess, bonds, one-time charges, fee escalation across four or five years, and what it costs to leave if you change your mind. We put that on one page before you commit.
If the result wasn't what you wanted
We treat this as a real track, not a consolation prize. That means honest work on GFTIs and state-level options, credible private institutions and how to tell them from the ones running on marketing spend, and for NEET students the BDS, AYUSH, nursing and paramedical routes that get dismissed too quickly.
It also means saying, when it's true, that a second attempt is the better decision.
A drop year is a real option, not a failure — and it isn't the right answer for everybody either. We'll work through it with you honestly, and our fee is the same whichever way you go.
Where the boundaries are
Worth being clear about, so you know what you're getting:
- You fill your own forms, we sit with you while you do. Your login stays yours — we'll never ask for it, and you shouldn't give it to anyone.
- You get probabilities, not promises. Seat allotment depends on how lakhs of other people fill their choices, so we'll give you well-reasoned odds and show our working. Anyone offering a guaranteed seat is selling you something.
- Everything runs on public data and analysis. No inside access, no management-quota arrangements, no contacts at NTA, JoSAA or MCC — and if someone tells you they have those, that's a scam worth walking away from.
- Your syllabus stays with your teachers. We're not a coaching institute, and our work starts when the result arrives.
How it works right now
Mapank is new and deliberately small. Free guidance goes up on this site and on our channels. Paid work is group sessions during form and counselling windows, and one-to-one counselling for families who want to work through a decision properly.
