Who you are dealing with

mapank.in is operated by Mapank Consultancy Solutions ("Mapank", "we", "us"), a sole proprietorship of Kapil Saxena, with its place of business at Hospital Road, Narsinghgarh, District Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh 465669, India.

What these terms cover

They apply to mapank.in, to the free tools on it, and to any report we email you. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.

What we provide

Information and guidance about examinations, counselling processes and college selection, built from publicly available data and our own analysis of it. We help you make your own decision. We do not make it for you and we do not act on your behalf.

Everything currently on this site is free to use, with no account and no payment.

What we do not promise

• No guaranteed outcome. We do not promise any rank, score, percentile, seat, college, branch or admission. Nothing we publish or say is a guarantee, and nobody at Mapank is authorised to give one.
• No influence over any authority. We are entirely independent. We have no relationship with and no influence over NTA, JoSAA, CSAB, MCC, any state counselling authority, or any institution. We cannot get anyone a seat, move a rank, or alter an allotment.
• No substitute for the official brochure. Dates, eligibility rules, cutoffs, quotas and fees change. The official information brochure of the relevant authority always overrides anything you read here.

About the tools and the numbers in them

The tools are built on real published data, and we tell you which year and which source. Even so:

• The Prep-o-meter is a self-assessment, not a test. Its output reflects what you told us about your own preparation, weighted by past-paper analysis. It is not a prediction of your result. Rate yourself optimistically and it will tell you something optimistic and wrong.
• The College Explorer is a record, not a forecast. It reports what closing ranks actually were in JoSAA 2026. Cutoffs move every year with how many people apply, how the paper goes, and how everyone else fills their choices.
• Marks-and-rank figures are bands, not points. NTA normalises every shift separately, so the same percentile costs different marks in different shifts. Where we show a range, the width of that range is the honest answer, not a rounding error.
• Percentile-to-rank is a computed mapping, not published rank data, and is indicative only.

If a number here disagrees with the official source, the official source is right. Tell us and we will correct it and date the correction.

Reports we email you

A report is a snapshot of what you entered, on the day you entered it, presented clearly. It is not an official result, rank card, score card, allotment letter or admission offer, and it must not be presented to anyone as though it were. It carries our watermark so that it is not mistaken for a document from an examination or counselling authority.

Your responsibilities

• The decisions are yours. So are the forms — you fill them, you check them, you submit them.
• Give accurate information. Guidance built on a wrong rank, category or home state will be wrong guidance, and we have no way of knowing.
• Meet your own deadlines. We will help you understand them. We cannot extend them and neither can anyone else.
• Verify before you act. Anything that matters, check against the official brochure first.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems, scrape it wholesale, or use it to send anything unlawful. We may withdraw access where that happens.

Paid services

We do not currently charge for anything. If and when we offer paid webinars or consultations, this page will set out the price, what is included, and the refund, cancellation and rescheduling terms before you are asked to pay for anything. How we intend to make money is set out openly on the how we make money page.

Any fee we ever charge will be for our time and analysis. It will never be for an outcome, because an outcome is not ours to sell.

Our content

The writing, analysis, tools and design on this site belong to Mapank. You are welcome to read it, act on it, and share a link. Please do not republish it as your own or sell it.

Where we name examinations, institutions or authorities we do so descriptively and for identification. All names and marks belong to their owners and we claim no association with any of them.

Liability

We take this work seriously and would far rather fix a mistake than argue about one. If our guidance was wrong, tell us and we will deal with it properly.

That said, admission outcomes depend overwhelmingly on things outside our control — your own results, the difficulty of the paper, the number of candidates, and the choices every other candidate makes. We cannot accept liability for those outcomes, for decisions you take after reading this site, or for anything that follows from data published by a third party being wrong or changing.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Availability

We do our best to keep the site up and the data current, but it is provided as it is. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, and we may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged clearly and dated, not slipped in.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Narsinghgarh and Rajgarh, District Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Nothing in this clause affects any right you may have to bring a complaint before a consumer forum where the law allows it.
